I just got what you two were on about then!

Matticus was referring to the title, not the username so I was confused.

    They are my initals actually.

If anyone decides they don't want their esc pack, I would bite your hands off for it!

George, I got the HPE from eBay, someone had purchases from China and their son didn't want it or some other story so were selling as new. It was about a £20 saving over buying from China with no risk of customs charges, as far as I can tell it is new and if it isn't then it is as good as.

Where do you lot usually order caps from? Group buys on here or elsewhere?

Group buys usually go down on the awful mess that is the geekhack forum. Great place, slightly overpopulated by ultra-nerds, ruined with a horrible layout. :)

That's very accurate Harvey :thumb: There are some great guys on there but also some complete a***s who trash threads and just cause problems...

    Edit:

Precisely because they're ISO layout and most groupbuys are run from the US...

I saw that actually but decided against buying it (I think because it's MX Black right?)

I think I saw it to - just under 50 quid? or maybe that was another one.

Geekhack isn't that bad a place. I don't really get that involved, but I think I need to as I want to mod/build more peoples keyboards - though things are going to take a positive turn with all that soon enough, so keep your eyes peeled :)

Yeah that was the one - £47 all in, I bid on it not really expecting to win or being bothered if I did.

I like black switches, I thought they were a little heavy at first coming from browns but once I adjusted I really like them. I really like reds too but I make more mistakes and bottom out a lot more with them. I have some pretty large gorilla fingers so black switches probably don't feel as heavy to me anyway.

Plus if I decide black is too heavy it gives me an excuse to mod! :dremel:

If either of you guys are insane enough to not want the escape keys or the standard ANSI CMY shifts, ctrls and alts hit me up.

Zomg you used my real name. :p

By ultra-nerds, I meant the "complete asses who trash threads" really, I'm thinking of longweight's clack auctions etc.

Going to try it with clears from 7bits GB. All I'll need to find then are springs.
