Filcos are superb. Which switches? On phone, suck at reading!

If you aren't bothered about ANSI you should grab a keycool (I think they have normal space bars now) or HPE 87. I have the latter and I was surprised at how solid it was when it came. Also the logo can be removed very easily leaving just a small inset rectangle.

As Kid said, I think the Zalman/Rapoo have fake switches also I personally think they look fugly.

Also for the Das vs Filco, I have never touched a Das but would go for a Filco on looks alone.

This is for my work keyboard, so need ISO (since I use UK layout even with ANSI and normally losing my backslash doesn't bother me, but just wouldn't be viable for work)

I know they have fake switches, it actually makes them more attractive to me since they (hopefully) won't be like normal MX switches, new things are fun :D

    Ah I see.

Qpad seems the cheapest way of getting a full sized ISO, Ducky do some full sized for around the same price, I would personally go with Ducky but I don't have any experience with Qpad.

If TKL is ok then a quick fire rapid is only £70~ and UK ISO despite all the shops showing the ANSI version.

Does anyone have a Ducky board with brown switches for sale?

They are virtually identical to MX switches but the build quality is terrible - the stems snap really easily. I considered a Zalman board but after reading a few threads on places like GH and deskthority I quickly changed my mind. MX is the only MX worth buying. :)

George the QFR rapid is a no brainer (I'd snap it up if I was in your position), that quality for that price.

Das is more than on par with Filco, having had both for extensive periods of time I wouldn't prefer one over the other in terms of feel or quality. In terms of looks the Das looks it's price, whereas the Filco is more subdued visually - but of course that's all personal preference.

I think I want full size though.
When I suggested a keyboard without a numberpad they didn't think it would work for what I will presumably be doing.

Why not grab a G80-3000? Should be able to get one for around €55 new. Used you may be able to get one for as little as €5+shipping. Still one of the best full size MX boards around. Either that or grab an 1865 instead for something a bit smaller.

There aren't that any beige ones at a decent price.
I'm not 100% sure on switches, since if I'm going to keep my current poker I don't want anything too heavy since the difference to these ergo clears will be too much for me I think.

However I think if I switch back to ISO then I'm open to anything.

I linked clears version, you can change search and go for blues (S) or blacks (P) if you would rather same prices. ebay board is a MY-8000 but has good lasered thick PBT caps.

I found an IBM model M while I was clearing out old stuff :D

Any tips for getting the original beige colour back? Also, does anyone know where I can get a USB to SDL cable like this one in the UK?
