    Hyperfuse was DSA.

I don't know if we are going to do another DSA so soon or not. I don't think we are going to run another buy where we offer 2 profiles, is quite alot of messing about.

SA will be fine as long as they sort out the sizes of the caps, as the shifts didn't used to be the right size and neither did the backspace, and that would do my head in on a keyboard.

Yeah that would be pretty dreadful... I'd like to give SA a try but didn't really like either of those sets so gave them a miss.

I'd quite like to give SA a go, the Calm Depths wasn't too bad, but the commando one was horrid. Very Thermaltake.

Got an email yesterday to say my Leopold has shipped! Yay! :D

Are Leopold a good buy ? I'm really tempted by the FC660M (the FC660C, with Topre switch, is out of budget).

Ohh fancy :) Pretty envious of that, it's another of the boards I want to add to my collection, I love the layout.

Yes they are, certainly not a bad manufacturer.

I'll let you know in about a week Guille - they look rather good, and all the reviews/mini-reviews I could find were highly complementary of its build etc.

Thanks Margon, I'm quite happy to have your board-jealousy for now. :p I just have to resist buying a load of weird keysets from GH over the next few weeks.

Thanks guys. The only thing I found is the non-standard spacebar (standard in size, but not in mounting). Qtan has both Mx-White and Mx-Green model (+ the common MX switches).

I'm also after a nice trackball ... ebay houses lots of great old reference.

Leopold spacebar is not such a huge problem anymore. It's possible to get replacements with their mount spacing anyway, and easy for OEM profile ABS. If you will be changing keycap set very often, it would be best to modify the plate to accept normal stabilizer spacing. It wouldn't be that hard to cut 2 slots for proper spacing though obviously would have to desolder all switch to remove PCB to cut safely.
I had couple Leopold FC200 some time ago. They were pretty nice keyboard.

Remove all the switches? Hell no! I seem to have a knack of buying boards that sound great until custom keycaps need applying. :hehe:

Good to know. TBH, I won't be changing keycaps often ... probably only colored modifiers. What is the difference between MX white and MX green ? I'm after stiff switched, but non-linear (the closest possible to the Model M bulking springs). I'm used to Model M, but it is too big for me and the SSK version is impossible to find (or at outrageous price).

Difference between green and white is white are prelubed to give a quiet click. They both have the same 80cN weight.

MX white has a soft click where as green is a normal click. Whites are never that good I haven't found, I thought it might be the god switch, but the click changes accross all the switches. I think green > white.

EDIT: I got ninja'd, glad my answer was right haha.

The thing that I've found with whites (well the whites column on my tipro) is that they don't have a consistent click - some don't actually click at all... I've just given it a test and it's 3 out of the 8 on there. When my poker was stock (back in the day lol) there were two blues that didn't click properly and that really got on my nerves - having such a variety of clicks on a board (presuming the ~30-40% that don't click properly) would lead me to sell it! The general consensus on lubing switches is that you shouldn't lube clicky switches as it buggers up the click so having a pre-lubed switch makes no sense to me at all!

As for greens - I'm looking forward to switching out the springs on my blues to heavier ones :D Especially having used buckling spring - greens are about as close to BS as you're going to get from MX

Thanks for the help guys. I've used a Model M for heavy coding purpose for like 10 years. I think my bday gift coupon will find its use :D.

Guille, if you are looking for a FC660M with greens there is one on eBay UK at the moment. Just relisted as I don't think it sold.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111193190241?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Unless you can get a better deal that might be worth while. I just checked and qtan has no boards with greens on his ebay shop, and the other switch types are roughly the same price as this board's starting price. Might not be the best deal but for availability and proximity it is good. I don't know what custom's are like for charges in France, so even if it worked out the same you at least don't run the risk of getting hit with charges.

What I am really saying is, buy it before I do! ;)

The comic sans on the FC660M box still makes me laugh. It is also the reason I could not get that board delivered to work. I am a web developer for a creative design/development agency, if I bought a product with comic sans on the box I would never live it down :hehe:

Might have a punt on that board, if not for the comic sans.
