edit: just realised the irony there.

edit2: by typing an edit this actually confirms what you said though

edit3: this could go on forever

it's not a lie, before I used to hate typing forum post because I just didn't feel like it. Now I'm compelled to type just because it feels so nice to do

Before you know, you are volunteering to type term papers for the local students... LOL. Yes a good input device makes using the PC more enjoyable. You are likely to find yourself spending more time typing and MUCH longer gaming sessions.
ISO Filco Ninja is brand new stock as of 16/1.

Thought I might aswell post it here, just picked up a portal keycap set :D

Only concern being with my potential move to just a Poker, how I'd cope with losing being able to see the numbers, since I can't really touch type them very well since I don't use them that much.
Also, if I do switch to just the Poker, then I want to find an aluminium case from imsto for it :D

Only other things I want keyboard wise atm, is to try one with clears, and blacks (need to try them all :D)

    Edit:
Although I am liking the idea that they will be taller (being for the F row) and since I find reds very light (still not decided whether I'll keep them, really would like a Poker with blues) so it may help to avoid any accidental number presses mid sentence :p

Your wallet is still smarting, once that stops I think you will eventually agree it was worth the money.

And here she is (apologies for the terrible photo - my point-and-shoot really doesn't like close-in photography in the dark). Filco Majestouch 2 Tenkeyless, with Cherry MX blues, and Filco red Esc and violet WASD.

First impressions? God, it's noisy. Key action is (not very surprisingly) much more positive and the keys themselves have a nice rubber feel to them, which is a huge improvement over the horrible worn Dell OEM keyboard I've been using since my butterfly split 'board broke a month ago. I'm bottoming out pretty much every keystroke - though I daresay I'll evolve to a lighter touch eventually. When I'm really pushing it in terms of speed I seem to bottom out less, so hopefully it won't take too long.

Also of note - though I thought it was going to be a terrible gimmick, the keyboard puller is a VERY useful tool and highly recommended. Also on order from a GeekHack group buy, two sets of doubleshot keycaps; one in a similar white-on-black, and one in a classic typewriter style in white-on-dark-grey for a future gaming 'board with Cherry reds.

Look into the o-ring mod. I have it on my keyboard and I can really tell that it helps with the bottoming out noise. O-rings are cheap ($10-$15) and installation shouldn't be very hard at all. Just pull caps, install the o-ring and replace the key.

Here is a video showing the difference between a keyboard with and without the o-ring mod. Plus it's from the same company that made my keyboard.
