    $42 = ~£25. 20% of £25 = £5 + £8 handling fee = £13 so they're about right... Gutting isn't it?

There is a Psion MC400 up on ebay.uk. It's an odd little machine, but one of the very few 'laptops' made with Cherry MX and comes with some nice doubleshots. Very cool vintage collectors item.

If I got hold of a completely broken one if those I'd extract the keyboard elements and spend all of my time converting it into a standalone unit in a fabulous case.

You could probably transplant a netbook screen and guts in there.

Margo, is the connector on the Filco numpad the same as the full size boards?

    Hi Guys,

1st sorry if this sounds like a noob question but 987 pages of posts is a little too much for me to look through ;)

I'm looking at getting a mech keyboard, wanting brown switches (these are similar to blue but no noise am i right?) with a number pad

Can someone point me out to which brands to go for and which to avoid, looking to spend £70-£80 as it will be a present to myself for graduating uni next month :)

    Thanks

    DT.

    Hello!

Cooler Master Quickfire XT - http://www.ebuyer.com/584052-cooler...ium=products&gclid=CNu4_Ka93b0CFUP3wgodIkQAXA

Simply - awesome keyboard for the money. I have an MX-blue version and it's a real nice board.

Anyone else notice that the Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate got a mention in this weekend's FT magazine?

Really you want to use Krytox blend of lube for switches. I have been waiting for AGES for my shipment to come off mkawa as I'm supposed to be doing the eu distribution, but he still hasn't sent it from the states. But when that lands I will have all the stock of all the lubes for all the switches :) until that arrives, you will have to buy it from a far, or wait for my stock to come.
