Hey guys, I've been looking at the forum for a while and can now finally show my first mechanical keyboard. Any mods, tips etc for a mechanical keyboard noob like myself would be appreciated.

Nice, K90. I like those new Corsair's just stock aesthetically speaking, maybe changing the colour of the leds - just because; Stickers and lube' would be the only things to consider doing to the switches. Stickers hold the housing more stably and lube' will stop the scratchy feeling in presses - apparently; I'm lining up to be doing some desoldering this weekend :dremel:

Edit - The stickers holding the housing together firmer, I guess is to support the slider better.

Stickers don't do jack :p They are just a pain. haha.

Apparently they stop the top from wobbling, but to date, on all my boards that are not stickered, I have never noticed the top of the switch housing wobbling :D

    Stickers do look nice though.

Do you tend to hit the keys hard or float over them like a touch typist? If the former like me the quietest you'll find are clears. Browns you will bottom out and that makes a noise. You might find with clears your fingers get tired but that just pushes you to learn to stop pushing them all the way down.

Exactly what I thought! Call me a heathen but I chose blues because a) it's for work, and b) it's not as if I can't do something about the switches if I grow weary.

I wonder how long it will take to get it here...

Morning Nick. Is there no end to your talents? I was unaware of your ability to read Chines/Mandarin.

    Nice looking caps though.

The mk50 is the donor kebab for below. Skidata2 I thought was a proper one, not a Tipro :duh:

Yeah, has MX Blacks all over & re-legend-able caps; All the caps are two pieces for some reasons, so you can change the layout with pulling the whole cap. Don't know why that was necessary really, probably cheaper for them to order like that.
