Well as you may have read im getting a new room next month. I want to make a nice entertainment system and that would include getting a new PVR. Here are the specs as Ive figured out so far.

    Mercury PVCLE266M-Lv3.0 & VIA C3 Samual 2 $54.99 after rebate
    Kingston 512MB CL2.5 PC2100 DDR 266MHz Memory $44.99
    Seagate / 40GB / 7200 / 2MB / ATA-100 / EIDIE / OEM / Hard Drive $49.99
    ASUS 16X DVD Drive E616A $22.99

I need to choose a tuner, What do you recommend? Something VERY easy to setup (I will use windows xp pro sp2)
Also whaty do you recommend for a free media center program?
I also need a video card, problem is the TV only supports, RCA Composite (Red, yellow, white) and umm that NPR, CPR, P or wtvr the other RCA looking connectors and S-Video. What would offer the best video?
I need it too look good on a 32Inch TV, all my other stuff will be running through it (IE. DVD, VCR's etc.).

I have a Sabrent SBT Tuner, and a ATI AIW I can use for tv out (Its only 4mb though). Then I wouldnt have to use a Media program. This would have to run thought a right angle PCI adapter (One that goes in one socket but has two ports on it.

With a C3 processor if you want to do recordings you will need hardware encoder tv card something like the pvr 150.

If I knew what a CA64 TN was then I might be able to answer your question.

Its a DFI motherboard model. Ive settled on using a Motherboard I have lying around with the intel 815e chipset, and a 800MHz Pentium 3 360. Here are the specs atm.

    Sabrent SBT TVFM
ATI All In Wonder 4MB (for the time being)
    40GB Harddrive space
    DVD-Rom Drive
    512MB Ram

Even a p3 800mhz isn't going to cut it at full resolution recording in mpeg2 or mpeg4. Which means you need a hardware encoder card ala pvr 150.
