LOL! Very happy to help you guys Now this thread can hopefully be done with By the way it was a question of 3 minutes of googling the words "mpc monitor powersaving"
My solution would have been to make a macro that wiggles the mouse a tiny little bit every 5 mins. BTW: Media player classic>VLC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WMP11
QFT. A lot of people bum VLC, and while it's good, it doesn't have the depth that MPC has imho - a total lack of decent keyboard shortcuts for a start... p.s. GoodBytes - give it up mate.
my word.. GoodBytes get with the times. I don't want to sound mean about this.. but you're being a bit stubborn. They've all been trying to explain this.. Media Player Classic is a continually updated free program which will play just about any media file provided you have the necessary codecs. Please go to here (download.com page for mpc) or here (free-codecs.com page for K-Lite codec pack). once you've done a little research on this wonderful program, then you can come back and tell us how were "behind the times" for using our non-bloated beloved MPC. If you do end up checking it out, I hope you fall in love with it like a lot of us here in this thread. Sorry.. I had to defend MPC. On the other hand, I'm not sure how to help with this problem as I don't have Vista. But hopefully there won't be any more confusion over why you're using Media Player Classic. Rock on.
Thanks guys for not ready my posts. How about you do that first, then reply. So let me recap this once and for all. Our dear friend vaderag, had a problem. To know if it is the player or something else, I suggested vaderag to try a different player, JUST TO TEST, not ACTUALLY use it. All I wanted him to do is: "Ok let me try WMP11 Vista edition... Hey it works! So it must be a problem with the player, perhaps their is a new version or a fix somewhere". If you guys know me, I tend to give more information about something that was ask, you know, to increase knowledge. At NO POINT I said it was the best player. All I said is, again just for Personal knowledge (not screaming just underlying the words), was because he uses Vista 64-bit, their is a "hidden" 64-bit of WMP11, and that it requires 64-bit codecs and that you do see a performance increase while using 64-bit codecs due to the simple fact that you use the full potential of your dear CPU, also that 32-bit codecs fails to work under a 64-bit video/audio player (well in WMP11 64-bit at least) And that 64-bit codecs exists. I am sure they are way better 64-bit players out there and probably their is or coming soon a Windows Media Player Classic 64-bit. Are we all on the same track now?
