I remember someone posted a link on here to a media player which had an interface like WMP6 (Windows 98 Media player), but played Quicktime and RealMedia files...

Any idea what it was called and where to get it?

I tried to use the search function, but I couldn't find it on there...

Yep but to view QT and RM files with Media Player Classic you need to install the plugins kindly supplied by a9on87

    MPC is fantastic.

Just install MPC, download the Real and Quicktime programmes, rename the *.exe files and Bam - MPC will play them.

*n (Just remember to do custom installs of Real and QT..."You ain't having none o' my file associations, beotch!")
