A/V Medusa 5.1 USB - Anyone got?

    Ive got the original medusa 5.1's and can honestly say they are decent enough headphones.

    However, you can't plug in the mic and have 5.1 sound if using a shuttle and onboard sound.

    I wondered if anyone has the USB version of these, does the usb replace the 3 jack plugs for soundcard or what?

    Ive tried finding out about the USB bit, but I cant find anywhere that says who it all connects together.

    Jon, watch this space for info on both the standard 5.1 and USB medusa's I have them both in my lab for an article.

    My mate has the usb version and they are good but the mic is absolutly shocking in battlefield 2, get the standard versions if you do get them :)

    I've got a set of the USB Medusa as well. Cracking VFM headphones IMO :rock:

    I can't comment on Gordy's suggestion that the mic is crap though, coz I only use mine for late-night (single player) gaming, and I've never used it.

    I use my Plantronics DSP 500's for music and mic use :D
