It's kinda intresting. But just from the way that article feels, I think that its fairly...shakey. Too many instances of "may" and "could".
Much respect to Cthippo for knowing what a chav is being merkian. Do merkians even care about the world cup that much? Soccers not exactly you're national sport, even if the US is in it.
There was a article in yeahho sports asking the merkian team weather or not the whole countrys routing for victory in the WC, well their answers were less than extatic. Many said that majority didnt even know it was on this yeah and those who did know knew verry little. its sad to see it never really took off over their, even when i was over there years ago i remeber watching MLS....and needless to say it was piss poor, it was over advertised and sold out(much like everything over there) and most of the players were rejects in their own respective countrys. One thing i never got is how did the Merkian's get the balls to call the bassball final "World Series"...the only people who play in this tournament is Merikan,Japs and the little Spanish islands.....weird, yet they have no clue about the World Cup. TBH back in the day i loved playing footie and cricket but i grew out of playing sports, then something called "Beer" and "ciggrettes" came into my life and changed it..... P.S. anyone who's read my reply im sorry for the extremely bad spelling and grammar errors,My head hasn't been playing straight for the past few days.
The Canadians play in the World Series... well, they can play in the World Series if they could actually play decently.
I can't play sport... I drink lots of beer... the article is right I wouldn't call myself a chav though!!!!!!!! To be fair, to the average merkian, the US is the world!
I know because I asked what one was And no, not much of anyone over here pays attention to the World Cup, but I think the psychology involved transcends the game in question.
Its a shame for the Yanks as they're team is not too bad and would be awesome if they concentrate more on it Ah well - more fun for us all
I think it's cause they lose matches to places like Iran, and Bush cant do jack **** about football (soccer).
I watch the World Cup. Comes from being in a very multicultural college for four years. And I can't play anything, and I don't drink at all. I may be the exception, but I'm not sure their statement is the rule.
I was going to comment on the scatter-shot approach to their/they're/there in this thread... If the authors played football they'd miss their shot, if they drink they're going to miss their mouths.
I would have thought Football/Soccer would have caught on more in the US by now, especially seeing as the US are ranked no 6 in the world, thats higher than England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I'll be doing both, playing 5's followed by a few beers watching the World Cup games
