    We do know Jesus existed and when, the Romans kept very good records. Now whether he could turn water into wine, cure blindness by touching someone on the head, or do any of the other miracles attributed to him. hundreds of years later when the Bible was written, is more doubtful.

    But really, merry christmas, lads. I suppose if we're being intellectually consistent we should non-religiously celebrate Hanukkah and Ramadan and the others too, but ehh, something something tradition, something something force of habit.

    Although - if we culturally enshrined all of them it'd be more calendar excuses to eat and drink to excess. I know Ramadan is about exactly the opposite of that, but hey, we're British, we have to make things our own.
