Never thought of using D-Walker like that! Certainly going to give it a try though. An yes D-Horse is just a horse at the end of the day it get you places quicker than running. Until you can train it to poo on command.
Quiet doesnt seem to do to well against the heavily armored soldiers. Those tanks an Helicopters.

I do quite like just going out on my own on missions it adds to the suspense you have to make sure youve checked everything etc. Set yourself a challenge. Go out an do any mission with just the water pistol. Plus side itll be a cheap deployment.

I tend to keep Quiet using lethal ammunition, I feel like making her use tranquillizers is a little bit against how she is supposed to be. Once you get her rifle that ignores armour those soldiers become like paper.

I've not noticed her trying to shoot at a tank/helicopter, I might reload an older save and see if her OP rifle take down a helicopter. :D

On a side note, anyone had much of a go at invading the Front Operating Base for another player?
Do other players retaliate much if you invade them?
I'm curious to give it a go, but don't want to provoke someone if they're going to spend their entire evening repeatedly wrecking my base for revenge.

Don't waste time with going out of your way collecting plants and materials. You always haave enough plants, and materials are only worth going out of your way for when you can collect containers. Definitely need to get the fuel material as much as possible as they're rare-ish.

People can retaliate only once, but you can retaliate back, and keep going back and forth until the chain is broken by someone failing.

Yeah fuel is the real pig its what I fall down on I have enough Bio material to make my own army from it.

Just done mission 20, that wasnt fun! Still, a well placed pile of C4 and a Jeep work wonders :)

That's good to know, I might have a little go at over the weekend.

    :worried:
If you've unlocked the ability to change the weather in your iDroid then you can end that fight instantly without doing a thing as he'll simply run away if it you make it rain.

For gathering fuel, the best way I've found to stock up on the stuff is to frequently get dropped off at Da Wialo Kallai village or the Afghan Central Base. There's normally 3-4 containers of the stuff at those two locations.

I actually forgot that, ended up doing the above was quite amusing though no idea where mantis kid went saw him once an but was more concerned with Mr Toasty. Im just going around now doing loads of side ops an re doing missions to get gmp, gunsmiths and blueprints still. Quite fun going back doing things you couldnt because you simply didnt have the tech.

So, had the fun "mission" last night
Going through the entire crew list quarantining everyone who speaks Kikogo (bad spelling) An now I have to grab Codetalker whos got the parasite squad with him :grr:
Still, having fun redoing missions using silly weapon choices an mission nine is a great cash cow.

Jesus christ, that smegging mission. I had ~1200 staff at the time, I spent the best part of half an hour going through them all! That mission you've got next isn't nearly as bad as it sounds if you're any good at sneaking! :p

My favourite mission to go back and do is the one to rescue Huey and then deal with Sahelanthropus for the first time, it's good fun seeing how many different ways you can complete that mission with all the advanced equipment. :D

I couldn't be bothered to deal with that managing the staff at my base during that mission, ended up just letting it all go south for a while
    (think I lost 60-70 men)
and decided I'd spend some time rebuilding after I completed the next bit.

I highly recommend taking D-Dog on the next mission, he's insanely helpful in tracking the enemies in the first engagement and can spot almost everyone at the same time once you get your guy from his initial location.

If you've upgraded it with explosive weapons, D-Walker might be of use on the airport bit.
Or you could bring Quiet back with a lethal gun and just run in circles... that often works too against those guys.

    Snap absolute pain!

Sneaking im not too bad on, last time I had the parasite squad guarding the truck I used the stealth armour legged it past an fultoned the truck out then ran off before the cloak ran out :D Ill try sneaky snakey with a load of decoys, they are usually pretty dopey. Decoy + C4 = lots of dead people, maybe it works on knocking their health down?

Ive barely used D-Walker to be fair, Ill probably start with D-Dog an swap out for Quiet just her humming gets annoying!

    Well that was fun! surprisingly.
The snipers are suprisingly easy my night vision suckes but the lasers are a give away, that an the fact they all only have two locations.

Also the second lot in the "part two" of the mission. Nade launcher with me an quiet using a Brennan sniper rifle and the odd bit of CQC worked a treat

I like how this topic is gradually turning into more and more spoiler tags.

    :worried:
Oh, did you pick up the weapon blueprint inside the house that Code Talker was being held in?
Getting that will later unlock Quiet's most powerful rifle.

I think I did yes. It was on a welsh dresser type thing from memory, may reply that one to be fair I managed to get into the house without being seen was only when I got inside it all went a bit wrong.

It is turning into some kind of top secret file this thread with the amount of blocking out. This isnt a spoiler at all but, if you knock someone out an put them in a dumpster. They stay knocked out indefinitely from what I can tell. An why dont they get suspicious about random guns an hats/helmets on the floor, or blood? Stupid people!

    Mission 28 Code Talker
When you get to the house, you need to head upstairs and into the library where you'll find the schematic on a wooden dresser/closet on the upper floor of the library.

It's an insanely powerful rifle, in your hands it's simply a maximum penetration sniper rifle but in Quiet's hands with her modified version it's an absolute beast with how it ignores armour.

Plugged away over the weekend, Chapter 1 is now done (sodding hard)

Upgraded D Walker and started using him for mission, im now using what is basically an EMP rocking around with that an the CQC arm just ruining peoples day.

The Brennan sniper rifle or rather the Anti material rifle. My god that things powerful! Also the air shot gun is pure comedy an you can fit a silencer to it. quite enjoying redoing the older missions with advanced tech like the first time you encounter the skulls just make it rain an auto win. The best unlock though
D-Dog worm hole fulton rank S in any rescue missions

I'm at mission 6, so I guess all the good stuff will still to come.

How can I raise the total of staff? I built new level of platforms but total stays at 30:(

I want to get my dog - how long does it take to get him fully grown?

upgrading the command centre and adding new levels will help, also eventually youll get FOBs are mission 21 which ramps up the capacity massively. D-Dog takes till about mission 12 I think. Worth the wait though hes like a walking radar find people animals an plants for you.
