    Hello everyone,
My trusty Logitech MX1000 mouse just gave up after years of service and I'm currently looking to buy a new one and hoped you all could help me find one that would fit my needs.

What I would like to see is a wired mouse made of metal(Al) with a similar shape to MX1000 and last I need at least 5 buttons including forward/back. The price can be anything sub $200.

Then just in case this is not possible I'm also interested in other mice that are similar to the MX1000 in shape.

    Thanks.
    V

If you can settle for something cheaper try the new successor to the MX518. That logitech G400. It's not entirely metal, but it should last quite a while given that the MX518 is quite bulletproof.

Such a request begs the question: Why?

The RAT 7 has an aluminum frame but it may not meet your other requirements. It's a "five button" mouse but that's counting the basic left and right click and mouse wheel button.
