Micron are soon to be shipping 4GB Dimms, according to ExtremeTech. Not for Desktops yet (They're aimed at the server and workstation market), but there's no reason why they couldn't put this out for the enthusiast segment if the demand arises (which it will - you can never have too much memory, eh?)

Micron Technology said Monday that it has tested, validated, and begun shipping the first 4-Gbyte DDR-2 memory modules.

The company said that the new 4-Gbyte DIMMs have been tested and validated at Intel for use in its latest platforms, including its new dual-core systems. The DIMMs are shipping to customers, Micron said.

While the 240-pin PC2-3200 DIMMs are only intended for workstations and servers, the release at least proves that Micron has the ability to release similar DIMMs into the PC market, if demand materializes. A spokeswoman for Crucial Technology, a module maker and division of Micron, could not be contacted for comment at press time.

    More here

No pricing available at the mo - presumably not to scare anyone off (It's bound to be hideously expensive at the outset).

Well seeing as most desktop boards (or maybe just mem controllers) only support 1GB sticks max, I doubt availablity for nonservers will be an issue at this point.
