Notebooks Microsoft chip in scheme, what one would you choose?

    Microsoft have a new scheme called chip in which is kind of like crowd funding yourself a PC and they give a discount as well as office 365 for a few years once you circulate your wishlist around friends and family. The options are in the link below and for a soon to be uni student taking lecture notes and wanting it to be able to play movies and browse the web (possibly run engineering software) what would you recommend? I don't need it for gaming as planning on taking my main rig but I need something that is fairly capable for the day as the indication from other students was you are in the department from 9-5!

    Edit: I should probably add that I am likely to rip the hard drive out of it and stick an ssd in or a bigger one if it already has it, as well as fill the other dimm slot if it is available.
