    From the Inquirer:

SOFTWARE FIRM Microsoft issued three warnings about its software that could compromise peoples' personal computers.

One of them is very serious, a security firm tells the INQ. You should download the second patch immediately. According to Thomas Christensen, at the company, it is easily exploitable by people with not a great deal of technical knowledge.

Quack has already posted something about this over in GN&SD, but it's important enough to warrant another here.

I just had to install the automatic update before I could access windows update. Has anyone else had this problem?

This just isn't Microsoft's month, is it? What do you want to bet that the department of homeland security moves to something safer like Linux? :D :D

:nono: :nono: If Microsoft keeps this up...

i just formated, updates everything and now ctrl + alt + del wont stop half my tasks, namelly explorer, which has a known bug, it crashes frequently if your drives are reaching capacity. and one of mine recently failed so had to back thing up somehow.
