It wasn't just engadget who made that joke. Half the blogosphere used it. :)

I was wondering why it was so bloody cold yesterday.

That's what it's all about, really. MS is probably trying to buy what they want out of Linux, so they can use it without fear of lawsuit. Their usual operating policy, in other words.

Perhaps this means it will get a lot easier to mix Windows desktops with Novell servers!! Maybe even WITHOUT active directory?!!? Or perhaps they'll merge the two.

Anyone else get the feeling Novell's gona get shafted?

IBM wasn't alone with OS/2 until M$ had a hit with WeeneeDOS 3 (OS/2 on Wikipedia) then * poof * Macro$loth did what they could to kill OS/2 (which was the superior OS at the time)

MS is great at sharing technology - Maybe Novell should sign up for "Plays for Sure" too. /Sarcasm

Though this would be great if it somehow resulted in better NTFS support in Linux (though I doubt it will)
