How does the Kinect Joyride game work? Do you sit on your couch turning an imaginary racing wheel and shifting an imaginary gear, stepping on imaginary pedals?
Am I the only one thinking $189 would be a bit high? Especially when you consider that TESCO is doing Wii + Sport Resort + 2 games for £ 159.
Oh wow. With a name like 'Natal' I wasn't going to buy it. However, with a dynamic name such as 'Kinect' I've had a complete change of opinion and will now be buying two to replace my PC. Thank you marketing bods, once again you have changed my life.
They want $189 for a rebranded Playstation Eye?
They're really missing having Bill Gates at the top aren't they!
$199 is the entry price of the Xbox360 console, so this does seem expensive.
Maybe this is a bundle with the new "slim", with added November price drop?
What the hell is up with the word 'kin' and its variants?
I suspect an illuminati is involved tbh.
I preferred Natal tbh
Don't forget about your family which apparently has nothing more better to do than watch you race and change your tires.
The only thing I like the sound of is the lightsaber battles but I suppose even that will only stay interesting for 5 mins.
It's gonna end up like the Wii, people will buy it and play for a couple of weeks then it'll just sit under the TV gathering dust.
The neogaf thread on this is gold, also at $190 I think a lot of people will be picking up whole Wii systems or PS Move instead.
I'm going to beed a bigger house ...
This is going to fail majorly.
I hope it catches fire.
It really is a lot more than the Playstation Eye. Have you even looked into what it really does?
Its clear you don't know anything about the Natal. The Playstation eye is just a camera where as Natal tries to mimik the human eye using different sensors for movement and depth etc. This give natal far more potential rather than the PS3 or wii method of motion control since the sensor maps key points hopefully allowing for far more accurate movement based on the full body.
Its clear you fall for MS hype, NATAl has been Struggling to accuraltey depict movements for games, REMEDY has been on record as saying it is wasted on games. IGN also had an article at the GDC where devs were saying at this point it is a mess. natal without an input device simply won't work, and no one is buying it at that price. The MOVE is very accurate, more so then natal. Natal is neat tech, no doubt, but for gaming not so much. Sony also has a large backing and third party support, MS's game support is lacking. Games at the end of the day is what will sell these things.
natal has failure written all over it.
As opposed to couloured-bulb-on-a-stick, which is so obviously the future of technology. We should all kick ourselves for not realising it sooner.
You realise tech like MOVe has already been proven to work and be successful, NATAL is something different and not condusive to games, you will see in time. There is a reason at GDC devs said it is a mess.
