    Like many others I'm waiting for:

    1) a clear winner in the standards war
    2) reasonable prices on disks (the same as DVDs today)
    3) a compelling reason to ditch my 12 year old TV (still has a good picture)

    Until then the format wars don't matter.

    £400 for a HD-DVD player or £500 ? (or £600 ?) for a media center PC + games console + BD player

    which would you buy ?
