    hehe we are collecting a serious amount of characters now, I have my sackboy as a pirate near my house (take the lefthand rail line from spawn)

    More like beta's down.

    With all that money you'd think Notch could put the site, login and patch servers on separate machines.

    But beeing beta, doesn't that mean there'll be longer intervals between these downtimes? I certanly hope so..

    ..but then again. This means that me and my MrsFio can devote more time to get ready for our hollyday-trip to the east.. ;)

    :worried: ..but I do hope the server is up again while we're at my parents, I've been looking forward showing them the "apartments" that's a replica of my childhood home..

    Pretty sure that's grass, Elliot. It just looks weird because the colour is biome-specific.

    NOTCH DROPS APPLES!

    Red apples are only found in dungeons, and can be used to make Golden Apples.
    Notch has included code in the SMP server application that will check whether a player has the username "Notch" when they die. If this is the case, a Red Apple will be dropped on the spot.

    Yeah.. .wasn't an eralier release supposed to let the user choose to update or not on the client side?

    Notch for a while has been making server updates optional (ie it doesn't reject the client if it's on that patch but it isn't) but he hasn't this time, probably because Alpha -> Beta is a fairly large change.

    nobody knows as of yet.

    It's not a new mob or item/terrain as there's nothing new in the images (people have scoured them)
