best keep religion out of it, you only offend. I think it's taken out of context slightly, considering there is a counterpart on the otherside of the screenshot, but still - best not to sanction these type of works in the first place.

 

Kneejerk reaction much? It's not even definitely a cross. It has blocks on the bottom so it's closer to a flaming penis.

But:
If you make a circleshape and someone else makes a burning circle right next to it..
Would you be slightly offended?

Is the server bound by the communist rules about no religions?

Why not let people build in peace?
Especially when as far from spawn as this happened..

The view.. The lower lefthand is Wixi and the dome in the distance is my own creation. (not sure who owns the cobble dome and mud farm).

 

is this server still open to join? i tried emailing the guy who started this topic a few days ago but got no reply.

i haven't played the multiplayer side of minecraft because due to not wanting to get trolled but a friend of mine is on here and he said its a good server, his names names Iain if you've talked to him. he said hes currently building a giant sky palace, im thinking thats it in kroys post above because hes used the name Pariah in a few other places.

Iain showed me the world map you guys have set up. if you do let me in, ill probably go off to an unused snowing area to build, nice and out of the way so i dont bother anybody.

 

Is the minecraft.net server the reason i can't log in to the smp server? The ping to the host seems steady at 230ms but im getting errors when trying to log on and the minecraft.net website seems to be overloaded.

Edit: Finally managed to get on the smp server but its very laggy :S

 

The cobble dome and 'mud farm' is mine.

The 'mud farm' will be a regular farm, when I get around to planting it,

 

I cant connect to the creative right now, But I can get on the survival just fine

 

The creative server was shut down for whatever reason, i've started it back up for now.
Curious.

And uhh... grats to everyone - a very strong community and some awesome builds and adventures since last year.

 

WS, you should lookup the Zanmap minimap again, someone else has taken over its development and I've got the new one working, albeit without waypoints (haven't messed around with it much though tbh). Also, I think you could just use the old installer again - the update will have given you a new minecraft.jar file and I think that's why it broke it.

 

Has anyone been to old spawn on SMP recently? My house has been burnt down, along with what I think was pcclan's house too. We weren't in the village, just outside. TcoZ's house was inbetween but there doesn't seem to be too much damage there but his place was mainly stone.

Very strange - nothing was stolen. Just a bit annoying really.

That's annoying. I wonder if it's related to the roll-back we had when the server was griefed. Your houses were taken down then. If these were teh first ones to be destroyed in that grief then perhaps the rollback wasn't far enough . If it has happened more recently. It should be possible for XM to resolve.

And in any case, we'll rally round and help you both fix it up.

pcclan TNT'd his own house, could yours be collateral damage?

 

is there anything special needed to make portals work in survival? Ive built one and its looks fine but doesnt do anything.

I know its probably a stupid question but im confused.

 

You have to light one of the bottom blocks with flint and steel.
