Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

Right, I have nearly completed the floating build (on the survival server) that seems to attract mixed reviews. But I am now at a loss for what to build next. Anyone got any ideas? I want it to be something. . . . numinous

 

im in the same boat. i finished my house out in the woods and need a new project now.

 

I've just been going crazy on the creative server- replaced my confusis towers with nice gardens, finished that and built a cargo freighter ship out of coloured wool.. hmmm what next?

 

Don't worry about it - too much effort.

 

For people who have nothing to do on the survival server, I'm sure Kroy would jump at the chance of free labour on the core...

 

whats the core? some giant underground thing hes making?

I was thinking that it could become a hub for other habitats underground.

If anyone is interested, they could make a home off of the core. Create a 15 metre tunnel between the edge of the core and the edge of your habitat though so that there's enough room for a wide walkway on the perimiter of the torus.

I'm on holiday for a few days, so I'll not be around too much, but if anyone wants to get building off the core, then please go ahead. Spherical builds only though please!

Also the PVP Server is fully up and running with spawn set up and chest's full of deadly goodies. We will do a restore every two days or sooner depending on how beaten up the land gets. Pm me for the IP.

Is there any chance of getting a recent picture of the Creative server? i have not seen one in ages and so much more work has been put into the server. also it would be nice to find out where i am lol. lost

i would /spawn but there are so many new things i havnt seen while working on my own project in a different direction.

How long does it normally take to get whitelisted?

 

It depends on how long you've been here and how much you've contributed to the site. There isn't a set time frame, once the designated server admins feel they can trust you they let you on.

Getting that to work would require pretty much full access to the server, and that is something we don't have.

If it could be done i would have done it a long time ago. The best i could come up with is to download a backup of the world and hook up the lot locally, but then i'd have to keep manually updating it, and host it 24/7 which is not going to happen.

Too bad. Maybe a script could run (every hour/day) and upload the files to someone else's server, who can host it ?

And it would be great to have IP/whitelist, I've been in the early BT servers, but kinda stopped minecraft for a while.
