Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

Have you tried it? Its a game for people with an imagination and a desire to produce what they can imagine into something that can be seen by others.

If you don't want to do that, then I don't see why you would want to play.

Ive been hosting a dedicated server for me and 6 friends for about 6 months, looking to mix with new people though : )

I've been given the IP Address but I can't log onto the server "Sadface" Says connection lost, end of stream after trying to log in for five mins

 

I think the game needs to be harder for survival to be an issue for me.

 

I've died loads of times and I'm in the middle of a freaking castle.

 

That part sounds alot better...
Is it similar to the Survival Mods on GMOD? Cause i've always found them pretty fun

Never played MP before I must admit, but this seems really fun.


btw: which version is the server running?

 

Server is running 1.6.6, I think. All I know is that most people are on 1.6.6 and can connect to it.

The survival server, at least.

 

I've done that twice now. Unfortunately the first time I led SeaShadow down with me, then we got stuck in a dungeon. He lost 2 diamond picks and 2 full sets of armour, so he is not happy with me But the second time I drilled right down, got a full stack of coal, 11 iron, 10 lapiz and 4 diamond. So I'm happy

I got 5 last night and made a pick. then went for more but dropped right onto a mob who killed me!
oh well!

 

Having a problem with redstone. It keeps toggling between states for no apparent reason and it happens in sp too.

Also, having problems connecting to the server.

 

if you can manage to stay connected for more than 5 seconds id be glad to try and help you out with your redstone

 

I'm happy for you to sort it out as long as it looks neat at the end.

I need to wire the water sources to a panic button as well.

EDIT: Thanks rob, it neads a bit of neatening up but thet's easy to do.

I've designed the circuit in sp with a toggle switch between automatic and manual and a monostable to give time to get across.

No problems. It's pretty simple, but works well. I think there needs to be a longer drawbridge though, as Lofty was demonstrating (albeit with Flymod, but still). Also, I might have broken one of the sources.

I don't understand what the panic button would be for. The water would flow down - then knock out the torch and release the gravel?
