Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

Might be worth saving the map and holding it in storage until minecarts are ready, then let us all start again to fight off zombies (and yes, no free gifts) because going from nothing will be far more stressful and fun.

That also means your 5000 torches on the current map are worth **** hahaha

Um no, I'm in for more restrictive use of the spawning of blocks, but a compeltely new map? No thanks. I'd like to keep going on the one we've put so much work into.

I'm going to have to put a 15 foot wall up around ikea then to stop everything flooding should the glass break :/

Yeah... if we start a new map I doubt I'd redo everything I've already helped make :/

Well, buggery. I was planning to have a nose about tonight... I've played Minecraft almost incessantly in single player, but never ventured into multiplayer yet...

 

Either way, the effort put in was mental so I'd be put off by starting anew.

 

ATTENTION MINECRAFTERS!

I'm going to be doing a quick article about the Minecraft server in the coming days. The idea is that people who have helped build things can meet up with me to quickly show me what they've built and talk at me about it. It shouldn't take too long. It's essentially a guided tour of the server, by the people who helped build it.

If you haven't built anything but you think you have an interesting story to share - or even just a cool bit of the server landscape that you've noticed - then, yeah, that could count too.

Anyway, if you have something you want to show me, then drop me a PM. Please don't send repeat requests - if you have several things you want to show me, stick it all in one PM.

No timescale on this yet, but I hope to visit everyone by the end of next week at the latest.
