Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

Hello all

Haven't been active lately at all on here; I kinda went off vanilla Minecraft after playing it for two days straight last December...!

Which sort of leads me on to the point. I do recall being all emotionally gushy on Facebook & Twitter at the time, but now that I come to think of it I don't think I thanked everyone here who tuned in or donated to my charity Minecraft marathon livestream last December. I'm really sorry about that. Suffice it to say that bit-tech'ers showed some extremely generous tendencies indeed, and I am truly grateful to every single person who donated, jumped in to watch or helped spread the word a bit. However belated my public thanks may be, you have - and always did have - my gratitude.

I'm getting all gushy again, so it's probably time to wrap up! I do want to get back into vanilla at some point, so I really do need to jump on and see what's changed - although I'm worried it'll be like coming home after months away and finding that someone has moved all the furniture around!

Also, that's not the end of my charity gaming livestreams either. I'm planning another one for late June, but this time it won't be solely Minecraft - I'll put up a proper post when I've decided on the games!

As Xman wrote a few lines ago:
"For sure, feel free. The hostname is right there.

You will be limited to 'world' and 'nether' though. Access to other worlds where the other players reside can be granted over time."

Edit: I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this game? It's boring playing the initial world by myself on BT's Server..

and now I can't seem to connect to the server.. It says: Failed to connect to the server. Failed to login: Invalid Session. (Try restarting your game)

What? I restarted and everything.. odd..

 

When it says ("Try restarting your game"), it doesn't mean just close the MC window, you have to close and re-start the launcher too. Basically the Auth tokens that are given out by Mojang when you log into the MC launcher expire after 24 hours. So you have to re-login, which involves closing completely and re-opening the launcher (Which is the thing that actually connects to Mojang and gets you your auth token).

Ok, it seems that the authentication servers are down for maintenance.. I wonder how long it'll take..

Edit: Now it says Failed to login: The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

Holy crud! I almost died on this server... I was wondering who would like to help me in the next few days to strip this mine down that E_C and I set up below my current place in 'world'.

 

I need to get back on, I have a shed load of spare time coming up as funds are zero form buying a house so back to Minecraft I go .

Whoops, sorry about that. It seems there was a power outage. The server did boot back up, but mincraft does not start automaticly

Its very boring house at the moment loads of work going on could be a good way to daft out designs in minecraft though .

I got an email from Jørn just now that the server might be down (thank god for my forum-spies! ).

Just checked and the minecraft server seemed to be still running. Did a restart of it just to be sure. Are you using the new dns name? (xm.got-game.org).

Ok, whenever I come on the server, it says there's no one except me on the server.. I'm so lonely..

 

I've not been there much lately, but I always seem to be alone there too.
Hopefully I'll find time to play again some time in not too long.
