We do have another hill in Colorado you might like - It's called Pike's Peak. This is a clip from the 2007 hillclimb. You should notice the profound lack of guard rails. Slide over the side here and it get's messy

Pike's Peak. Legendary. I used to follow the unlimited class when Suzuki used to do very well.

There are tons of stickers like this, all over ebay at mini events all the time '100% BMW FREE' etc
My friend has this on his 72 clubby:

Tbh i'm glad that at least some company with a bit of style and strength was able to pull off a really nice remake of the mini, it could have been a lot worse (IE english company owned lol ).

They have kept a lot of good stuff, mainly the handling, and the good looks! Add some poke thanks to the supercharger, easy mods / accessories and its a winner.

Looks like you had good fun with your mini gathering! Can't wait to have the time/funds to do that in my xterra with some other owners!

jhanlon303: What?!? the lotto fairy isn't going to leave a winning ticket under my pillow? There was a scheduled ride to Pikes Peak and back, but I didn't attend that one. I'm immune to fear since my father used to take the whole family on Colorado jeep trails in our family station wagon... ;P

Bindi: Regular Cooper with about 120hp and decent torque. I wouldn't have bothered with a Mini One... talk about anemic! Wish I could have gotten an S, but that wasn't in the cards right now.

ComputerKing: Minis can be modded for some rather outrageous power. Talk about a fun "stealth" car. The John Cooper Works version comes with 208bhp, and more can be had with modification. With the cornering and handling of the Mini, it can't be beat in a slalom. http://www.rsportscars.com/mini/2009-mini-john-cooper-works/

Amon: Yes, Highways 6 and 40, for instance, are used by 18-wheelers as a bypass as they cannot go through the Eisenhower Tunnel. It can be nerve wracking going around one of those turns the same time as one of those big boys.

Here's one of our very fine rides, Trail Ridge Road, only open approximately three months per year
