About Firefox, I'm running 20 addons (can't get rid of them cos I love em all) and some of them are pretty CPU intensive, one of them is amazingly RAM intensive to the point that it uses like 50% of the CPU processing power, which is why it spends most of its time off, I find (with a T7500 @ 2.2GHz and 4GB of DDR2 Ram) that if I have 5+ tabs open (2 of then java script ridden) and I run one or two other programs, MSN, adobe , then a slow down is inevitable, maybe down to heat, which is plausible actually because ever since I stuck a 220mm fan under the laptop its been running noticably smoother
