i've been looking for a 4-way joystick type switch all over, but can't find a uk stockist :(

the type of product i mean is similar to:
    http://www.jelu.se/shop/product_info.php?products_id=93
    or
    http://www.smk.co.jp/product_e/pdf/switch/ESF292106.pdf

does anyone have any idea where i might find these in the uk? a lot of places seem to sell them in bulk only, which is another problem as i only need one!

the switch should be similar to a joystick on modern mobile phones, always returning to the center position when not in use (ie not a toggle style switch).

i don't care wether it's 4-way (up,down, left, right) or 5-way (u,d,l,r,button press) though the pressed function in a 5-way would be redundant in my application.

any help would be greatly appreciated. such a shame maplin don't stock them :waah:

    This looks very similar:
    http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/32138.pdf

It is being sold at Farnells, order code 415-6225, and costs about £1.50

They also do a four way one if you prefer, and they sell in quantities of one if you want. (Note however that you should buy something else too, as there is a minimum order value of £10 at Farnells)

    fantastic thanks :)

i'm not much of an electronics man, so after google and maplin turned up nothing i thought they were difficult to source or something

also, i expected them to be a little more expensive, cosnsidering in essence they're 5 switches, and perfect for quite a few cool projects. bonus :D

i guess i should think of a few other bits and pieces i might need from farnell though, i always need switches etc so it souldn't be a problem.

    THANK YOU!
