Here begins the initial usage thingy Bob of what I am doing with https://forums.bit-tech.net/index.p...ddr4-750-evo-ssd-no-lid-free-to-enter.387918/

    Initial Plan

This is going to be a LAN-gaming-friend-rig-thing for my stepson.

    1. Install CachyOS
    2. Install Minecraft Java Edition
    3. Install Waydroid to sideload Android apps (Roblox initially)
    4. Pair Xbox One Controller
    5. Wireless keyboard and mouse uhh I have those I hope
    6. Mini LAN to take place uhh tomorrow night.

    Phase 2

Acquire a vented lid 3D printed! Just a flat lid, for now, but will look at HSF options and a modded lid after, I assure you!

    Phase 3

Likely to involve a PCI riser card, and a retro futuristic take on a bar top…

Check out ITG Gear's yt channel - he makes all kinds of mods for the tiny/mini/micro range of PCs. He has the models up on the likes of Printables / Makerworld and on his Patreon Page

Too tip, thank you. I spotted these two on printables prior

https://www.printables.com/model/1131928-lenovo-tiny-m720q-top-vented-cover (there's a couple versions all very close albeit with minor details so not certain who the original, original author is.

https://www.printables.com/model/1037425-lenovo-tiny-m720q-m720x-m920x-top-cover-chassis-li but it seems a bit superfluous to slap such a huge fan on unless also changing the heatsink, in which case best consider a proper low profile cooler and allow that fan to vent.

    Byron kindly printed a lid!

I grabbed some gorilla glue over Christmas. I just haven’t actually set to with the dremel to finesse the fit and glue it up!

I hope to do that some point next couple weeks.

I lost my part time job, the chap I was sub contracting for has gone belly up so he’s had to stop trading and now I may have to as well because I’ve been looking for the past month but there’s no overlap between my availability and available work. So that’s been a major source of stress, anxiety and depression. And a nuke applied to my motivation to do much of anything at all sadly.
