Cheers Squid, it's amazing what a bit of swearing and cursing can achieve HAHAHAHA, yeah I'll bring the sausages Another queuing for a BBQ, There is some more cable management to do, I'm not out of the woods yet, there's still the 24 pin to do, I have a few Ideas ... so hopefully I won't bugger it up. Thanks man, I've taken a look at the results of the poll and Blue won luckily mayhems have sent through lots (lots and lots) of fluid so I have the luxury of having both options there
I've been away and missed this colour discussion... Blue matches wires so probably just pips it for me, but I do like the fuelly-feel of the lime (and agree with what AlienwareAndy says - looks like jet fuel). To be fair - whichever coolant was chosen, it would have looked epic. I can't wait for more! NEEEEEEEOOOOOWWWWW
Yeah it does, It's very nice to see some light at the end of the tunnel. At the moment I'm working through the back log of all the brackets that were made ... finishing and painting .. waiting for lacquer to harden, sanded and polished...good practice for when I come to finishing the body work.
Thanks man, I'm happy with whatever colour, both look good and some of the other suggestions would work nicely too. You're right with the wires ... I did consider changing the blue sleeving to red.
Sponsored by I've been working on paint and finish, lot's of brackets to paint. While waiting for paint to dry, I have been installing the completed parts. First up is the motor, the bracket has been painted and lacquered, as has the rear chain guard. The chain tensioner and wheel alignment adjuster (other side) have been made, painted and fitted. The chain has been fitted (I don't think I can get a gold one) The PSU has been fitted and left me with a big slab of panel to break up. I used the ROG logo that came with the Impact board as the colours fit in well and it kinda reminds me of the Ducati course logo. The Mayhems logo has also been painted and at the moment is blue tacked into position, (still needs finishing) Yeah I know lots of waffling but there's alot going on in the photo Next up is the radiator, I wasn't happy with the standard colour and paint finish so it needed some "adjustment" easy enough to paint and you've all seen it done before. here it is fitted. and finally I know there's been a lot of close up shots, so here's a where it's at pic .. enjoy
All fotting together nicely. All looks balanced and to scale even without the front fairing on. Really nice build. Would be fun to install vehicle diagnostic software on it so you can just ride up and plug in!!
Yeah I'd like to be able to do that, It'd look so cool (MotoGP style) I am toying with the idea of fitting an alarm just so that I can pose with the key fob ...
Well done, you've converted me into the use blue coolant club with that rad pic. Witch, if you ever get a gold chain for that thing I promise I will forever picture you as a pull-my-trousers-down -chav in my mind. So please don't.
I do like gold drive chains on my bikes ... They look alot better than the blue or red ones, I do have something planned that involves some other gold parts ... I'm guessing you'll still read the update when I post it ?
Looking great man! I can't help to wonder though, where will you put it in your house...its not like you will put it on your desk next to your screen
