Got an old telephone to gut? Otherwise I'd go for a 64-ohm speaker. A lot of modern motherboards come with a piezo speaker fitted, maybe you've one of those in an old toy or greeting card? Only to make beeps, innit?

Why would anyone want to put one of those in? that is the first thing i throw away on every new case...

But if you really need one, any 8 ohm speaker will work.

It makes me nervous when no beeping coming from box.I'm ordering other stuff from a firm and have found they have both the 64 and 8 ohm ones for £0.41 each so i'll toss a coin.Thanks.

They're normally 8 ohm impedence, when normal small loudspeakers are used.
