    Hi all,

I was hoping I could get some advice on the sort of price I could expect if I were to sell my custom built PC?

    Spec:

Case: COOLERMASTER CM690 MKII ADVANCED CASE
    Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-950 (3.06GHz) 4.8GTs/8MB Cache
    Motherboard: ASUS® P6X58D-E: DDR3, USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, 3-Way SLI
    Memory (RAM):6GB SAMSUNG DDR3 TRI-DDR3 1333MHz (3 X 2GB)
    Graphics Card: 1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 6870 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11, Eyefinity 3 Capable
1st Hard Disk: Crucial RealSSD 128 GB
    2nd Hard Disk: 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
    1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive: 10x BLU-RAY ROM DRIVE, 16x DVD ±R/±RW
Memory Card Reader: INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT
Power Supply: CORSAIR 750W TX SERIES (TX750) 80+ ULTRA QUIET PSU
Processor Cooling: Thermaltake Frio Processor cooler
    Sound Card: ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL

I know what I paid for it just over 12 months ago but no idea what it's worth now.

For the record, I'm thinking of selling as I don't utilise anywhere near as much of its power as I thought I might and I could do with a bit of a boost financially!

    Thanks in advance! :D

I'm a terrible judge of these things but ballpark, about £400.

You need to wait until you can access the marketplace section of the forum before posting price check threads.

It will take 75 posts and 30 days of membership.

Maybe more on the bay. Say £600. There are some idiots that buy lol.

Around here, maybe £400. More if you split though.

I'm sure you paid £1,000 or more for that but, yes, resale on computers is tricky. I agree that oddly enough, you'd probably do better selling bits separately. The motherboard and case are tough, but you should see ok prices for the ssd, CPU, gpu, psu, a little for the ram. Maybe try selling as a package on eBay, but have a reserve and do individual components if you don't get enough bites in the overall pc. It is a perfectly good rig so you might get a sale ... £600.

The prices on the marketplace here will be lower. Its sorta mates rates here.

I never make profit selling on here, I make enough so I break close to even and so I can add a little more cash to upgrade. Never made more than what I paid for something on here, but I know when HDD's were limited, ppl made a bucket.

I don't think you're allowed to conduct sales outside of the marketplace, or do price checks...

    Closing.

Wayne, you do not yet have permission to post in the marketplace. Price check and for sale threads are only allowed there.
