The jewel isn't lit, it's a lighting trick.

    Trim is now 95% done.

Depending on the speed of shipping, we're days to weeks out from completion of the box and moving to the base.

    Next stop, Arkenstone!

How you gonna get Smaug's Arkenstone? Last I heard it was on the breast of Thorin in his tomb beneath Erebor.

Only thing I knew of to describe what I have in store for the next update.

Tell ya what, I'll let you guys decide what it is when I update next.

I don't think I have the patience to spend over 1.5 years working on a mod. I've got several months spent on mine already between planning and building, and still probably have a few weeks to go, but I'll give you a lot of credit for not giving up on this project by now.

    Well, I'm not a quitter.

Anyway, here's the finalized hose routing. Some of it even comes out in convenient chunks, such as for where I have to fix the MOSFET block mounting. That's longer to remove than it is to fix (two holes, two screws, done.)

Also, my second plated block. Do THIS trick with electroplating.

Enjoy, pumps will finalize routing, then it's leak testing.

Really hard to end-on that with this camera.

I got my start doing the detailing with things like this.

The piece is entitled "Strutting C*cks", cause my wife likes chikins. Been painting a long time. Still not too good.

Did you ever get around to "leafing" some of the wood or did my tired old self miss it? Some nice gold leaf - even if from craft store would be nice here. Your wood skills are strong.

It was early on, but just for you John I'll do some real silver tomorrow.

I practically never take requests, but it'll be nice to do it anyway.

Ended up doing emergency repair work.

    Why?

I'll let the pics tell the story.

    And the aftermath...

    So, I got to work.

    And after all that work...

And parting shots of Mithril in the afternoon sun...

And my stalwart companion. If you consider my wife as Sam, well, he's GOTTA be like a Gandalf. Dogs are just like that. Besides, he's white.

    A couple points here:

1.) You need to fix your sig. I think your cat is back.

2.) Dogs have more patience for mods than cats. Cats want to 'check everything out'. Dogs are Meh. Get done and play with me. We have 3 cats and 3 dogs. Voice of experience.

3.) The works continues, but Dude - That's a TON of hoses! :jawdrop:

Looks good and I still watch.

    35 feet of Durelene.

As for cats Jasper is an F3 Bengal. Yes, we have a wild ball of fur on our hands.

Gizmo is awesome. There is no better dog. Handicapped just like me, we have been friends ever since we went to the shelter, watched him eat a bug and then belch audibly. There is no greater friend than a dog.

Like my 8yr old totally blind with inoperable cataracts, diabetic Black Lab Lady Grand. An insulin shot at 5PM and a cheap hot dog and love endures.

You might as well cover the base with carpet. The cat has claimed it already.
-Evil little creatures... It looks like it left a poo on your reservoir too!:hehe:

Mostly back to better than normal...

    So, here's fiberglassing!

I won't let myself fill it this time till it's ready to go. Then I can shove it where it goes and USE IT.

So here I go, adding details-

BTW, yes, now I'm getting into deep pockets modding. The amethyst, and quarts point are real, and I have a pile more of the stuff to add. The firedims are not, they're pretty good quality plastic. The real far outweighs the fake, but I had to find those for red.

And the mounting. Antique copper bolts, screwed into threaded inserts. Very secure (each side weighs 8+ pounds) and very understated. I'm really pleased with it. I have another set for the other side.
