I'll be showing the secret of the silver leaf in a later update...

As to the render-yeah, you're right. I'm not sufficiently skilled yet to make some of the complex geometries required by what I want, so I approximated. However, this will be made at home with a Dremel and files most likely, so I'm not too arsed.

What is that, Dad? I'm too fat and lazy to get out of your bed and see. Show it to the interweb, I'll see it there.

This goes over a piece of acrylic, and they both get envirotex'ed before I attach them to the block. There's another one on the clipboard being designed as we type...

Nice! How are you making intricate cuts like that? Dremel? If so, what kind of attachments do you use?

This is the most tedious thing I've ever done. OMG fail for boredom, OMG cheesecake for the look afterwards. Needed a unique fangrill...

To those interested-this was done with a Dremel, yes, with a diamond tip-#105 I believe...

    Text update...

So I have a HUGE surprise in store for this. I just got a PM back from a friend of mine who will be making a very special piece for Mithril... Believe me, you will enjoy this. If responses are good, they may even become available to the rest of our viewers at home, but that may not be such a big population...

Also, I have a new workspace I may snap and put up here shortly, but right now there is celebration, which generally means coffee. And I love coffee.

    My case frame came in!!!

However... I mentioned some great news, this is part of it... My friend who supplied a new case frame, as he thought my pine one just didn't go with the sides too well... so here it is!

Umm, you can mod a PC but you can't make a wooden box on your own?

I made the first one. However, he owns a lot more woodworking tools than me (he's nearly three times my age, he's had time to accumulate them) and is better all around at it than me. He also doesn't work in an apartment. Also, I do his PC for just about free in exchange.

Moving forward, I picked up the interior wood and some hardware for the case...

This is all poplar, and this large piece has a really interesting green that shows up...

But this is a great find, four pieces with beautiful figuring and all from the same tree...

I love that new frame, that wood looks much better!!

Ooooo, pretty! Lemme guess, those four beautiful pieces are from a fallen branch of a mallorn tree, right? ¤_¤ ^_^

I'm pretty sure Númenor has export restrictions now days. Might smuggle some in from Valinor.

Wait till you guys see what's in store though...

What are the dimensions on the chain mail fan grill? Seems like crafting a large one could put some gray hairs on ye olde head.

Sexy results, of course, but at what dire cost! You don't have your Mt. Dew fuelz! O' the horror...
