    Whew, bad things.

I'm adding a poll, to see what you guys think my next move should be.

My second K9A2 Plat fried my 3600x2, so I have no chip or board. Newegg authorized a refund this time, given the circumstances, and I'm running TriFire on my old BadAxe2.

Should I stay with it, drop in a quad and call it a day?

Should I move to the ASUS QuadFire capable board?

Should I go to the DFI board instead and get a 5000+ BE?

Those are my options, unless a sponsor wants to help with board like they did with cards.

In four cards there's one too many, just stay with the Bad Axe and get a quad. The second choice sounds good as well. 5000+ just doesn't cut it in my books.

Well, it means I have to totally redesign the cooling setup. That's a LOT of work, and even means parts of the case will be redesigned as well. It was all designed for 2 setups of 2 cards. Three cards screws the balancing and such... I feel ya on the quad, but maybe a 6400+ or something will find its way in...

Did I miss is or will you explain how you did this. I used gold leaf for my Fibonacci box and it took alot of time and effort, but it did not turn out that smooth. Any pointers or suggestions on how you did this. It is awesome.

I'll be explaining it soon, as in possibly tomorrow, as I have more of the case to leaf coming up soon...

BTW, Mithril's second board ended up just fine. As a proof, I'm typing from it right now.

CrossFireX continues unabated, one card is testing in the BadAxe. It wasn't Smurfing.

    Finally an update...

I bought these today, for 20 bucks at Circuit City, anyone know where I can get the other two cables to hook them to my PC?

And here's how she stands ATM. If the cuts seem ragged, there's stuff in the works to either remedy that or deal with it, whichever comes first.

This is the moment you've all been waiting for, the Leonidas!!! Be forewarned, it is NOT finished, at any rate. More work is required. At this point, however, it's enough to give you an idea...

And the power button, in mockup...

More to come, when I'm not working so hard...

D*mn it! That better not be a res filled with glitter! I'm really getting fustrated with people getting in my head and using my ideas before I do. Maybe it's time to start wearing a foil hat. Let's see you get in my brain like THAT!
I'm guessing the blurry black thing in the first pic is a set of speakers? Stereo cables are available anywhere they sell electronics.

*scuba diver breathing* "I find your lack of faith disturbing"
*breathing in some helium* [smurf voice] "You have failed me for the last time, Admiral." [/smurf voice] LMAO X¨D X¨D

    Well, lots has happened...

I made "Employee of the Month" for my dedication and hard work, as well as having to do three WC builds and a few standard PITA repairs, and I've made a bit of progress on Mithril. Not too much, but some. Expect pics tomorrow, as I'm off work finally...

    What a wild ride.

New fish, work work work and my mother-in-law had a liver transplant.

    In the meantime...

All 4 rads mounted, first splitter for VGA mounted, pump, HDD, mobo tray, up and running, and the bottom res is mostly done. Today/tonight I'm making the top rad grilles. Bookmatched white poplar, highly figured. Should be nice.

I just popped in to see if there was any silver waterblocks...:( I'll be back later to see the pretty grilles.
How many loops are you going to run? I don't remember the 4 radiators.

Kayin, will you be keeping the 3850's or upgrading them to 4850's?

Very nice, and very original as always :thumb:
