7th Jan 04 - Tying Up Loose Ends As I was entering Sim Lim Square I saw that RE Code Veronica X was out, so decided to grab a US GameCube as well! Decided I should get a DVD writer and I snagged a couple CM Drive cover thinggies.. Decided on getting another Black Widow for the Office PC. Also picked up another NIC for the Office PC (calls for usual mod!) My Logitech Z-680 was delivered to my hotel today @ around 13:00hrs. My Targus case for size comparisons. The box is 74(l)x38(w)x45(h) in cm. BUT if you take the satellites out the Sub is only 35x35x35, easily fitted in a suitcase! Picked up a second T610 for Mom (red) !! And a pic of my New^2 Powerbook...(Who can guess what vid it is playing?) Got a couple loose ends to further finish tomorrow, like getting that 3 line, 8 extension phone system for our house (current one has been hit by lightning way too often) and getting a new suitcase to fit the sub from the Z-680 in! See ya'll later on Saturday
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army i think, nice kit btw. should be a good result and a supurb rig
This would be an Asian thing. we tend to run everything past our parents before anything and well they also like us to get their permission. My Mom and I have this sort of code of conduct...
Looks like you had alot of fun shopping.. Look at all those goodies!! Stop by my place and I'll swap ya monitors... I only have an el cheapo 15 inch KDS rad 5..
Damn, where did you get all that cash?!?!?! Fell off the back of a truck, eh? So, how much did all that cost, total? I'm having trouble scraping together $250 (US) for an extremely basic PC. Can't afford a monitor, mouse, keyboard, or speakers...
* hands him a box of tissues * Easy now, big guy... Yeah, bsodmike just got waaayyyy too much money. So much in fact, that he just has to get rid of some, quick. You know my bank account number. I wish our office PCs here at work looked like that. Instead, generic beige Compaq P3 drones... Still, in my other place of work we have those tiny, near-silent black Dells. They're the daddies!
Wow WOW @ Bit-Tech, love the new forums sweeeet! I'm on Wifi at Changi at the time of writing this, I'll be on the plane in like 45mins and back home in about 6hrs time. Then it will be like 'Christmas on Crack + a couple shots of Vodka with Red Bull' I was lucky enuff to grab Soul Caliber 2 and a Wavebird for the Cube. This game is very very cool, shame EU peeps have to wait a bit longer (P.S. all cube games sold in Singapore are US games!) I will update this with the Final Mithril some time tonight!
holy *&@^#*(@^!*# I think bsodmike has an electronic brain. I think I found my dream area to live in. That wad of cash nets you all those goodies? Shoot, I'll cargo mail myself there tonight. Your setup looks like one of those high end desktops, used by those upper upper management CEO type people. You know, with the "You're fired look"
oh tatti guy. hey isnt sri lanka near india. heh im from india but was born hear in canada. Man u must be one of those really really really rich families. anyways, thats a really nice setup. one thing though isnt that keyboard setup awkward for you? keep up the asian modding man
Heh These Logitechs are very nice, better than I expected them to be! We ended up buying 2 BIG bags just to pack the Z-680 in (took the stuff out to avoid customs... ) Being rich is a figment of your imagination when you spend like I do This is more or less my entire budget for 2004 as I've pretty much got everything I want/need. Spent around SGD 4500, USD2000+, £1500ish... Thanks for alll the posts guys, much appreciated! RTT: love the new forums, but why not have the old color back ?
bsodmike, rtt is working on getting the old blue theme back. You'll have a choice as to how you want the theme. Read the sticky
I thought alot about the keyboards and thought of going for a gooseneck kind of thing but found that this was much easier/cheaper too. It is pretty easy to use and not stressfull at all!
All that for 2k USD? I must say that there must have been a few five finger discounts? (Those Powerbooks alone sell for about 2,000 over here in the US.....)
