My mrs made some the other week. I can't remember what went in them, but by jove, they were lovely! Might suggest it for tea this evening.

I like the Taste the Difference range for burgers. They pack them with herbs and stuff that, while I technically could, I would never bother to do myself.

I just realised I haven't eaten a burger in about 2 months, and now I'm sad.

    Sad and hungry.

Result! Home-made burgers for tea last night. All sorts of spices went into it, some Worcester Sauce, dried onions, an egg or two, mustard and topped with cheese in a big ol' bun.

My homemade burgers always fall apart!

500g mince + onion + mustard etc. + one egg

    What am I doing wrong?

Too much egg? Too little? Fridge for longer?

I put mine in the fridge for half an hour, shape them then put them back for another half an hour.

    Seems ok for me?

Mix them by hand over a bowl of ice. You want to keep the mince chilled to make it stick.

    1. press them together firmly, I use a 3 inch metal ring but the meat in and then press down with a flat bottom bottle, but should be just as good if you press firmly between hands
    2. chill them.
    3. you only need to flip them once don't move them about on the grill/ pan
    4. if still having problems add pork mince or beef fat in a 1:4 ratio to the beef mince the fat makes them stick.
and I don't use eggs in my burger unless its a fried egg on top.

+rep for the sig Whisperwolf. I have a rare breed farm near me where i source my pork from. I had half a berkshire in my freezer recently. The bacon is amazing!
