    @Dark - NOOOOOO!
    @Roboduck - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
    -Cables run under the mobo to the drives/psu. There's only about a 6 inch change unfolded, and I left lots of room for doubled-up cables on that side. The only problem tube will be the one that runs from the GPU to the top radiator. The rest are short links to the next component.
    I don't think there would be space for a 2nd video card, though.:hehe: -Gotta put those hoses somewhere.
    @Sethnmalice - :rock: I can't wait to see what's all inside there. Yes, you can color everything. There's nothing in SU that would qualify as a render. Picture textures are goo too.

    The scale of my design has increased. I've increased the hight to over 2m tall, whilst the diamated has also increased to 490mm without the double helix of hard drives. This is due to me swapping the MITX motherboards for much larger EATX ones.

    There are several reasons for this, but the main one was because of the server part of my proposal. I needed a way to connect 64 SATA drives. Four of these fit the bill, but if I were using MITX, I'd need four boards to provide the four PCIE slots needed. EATX will provide the expansion slots needed for the server, and the rendering cluster can then utilise dual socket motherboards.

    I feel the proportions work much better now anyway. Instead of it being really tall and this as before, it's now a little more substantial.

    The central core where the systems are located will be seperated into seperate units, each housing two EATX motherboard and two custom rads, two power supplies and all the other necessary parts for it to work. The top most unit will house the server section, whilst the ones below will be rendering units. Rendering units will be able to be added or taken away dependinding on needs.

    I'm working on the 3d stuff now, I'll show a quick screenshot when I've got a bit further.

    @cheapskate

    Ill try to get as much done at work (during lunch) as I can. The final product just won't be as awsome as I would like :(

    I had an hour to kill so I revised my design. It now looks more like an alien globe but I like it better than the satanic webber :hehe:

    -changed the "spine" to an exterior curve
    -added post with base (made it look cool...)
    -added light effects (curves across the main body will be back lit frosted plastic.)

    @disturbed13

    I can't watch those movies anymore without thinking of our former governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura AKA "Blain Cooper". :wallbash:

    @Cheapskate
    Yeah, I got a little too excited and started the contest early. Sorry guys :sigh:

    Yeah its a big ball :hehe:, its 20" in diameter but I think I will shrink it down a bit before the end. Im using a micro-ATX right now but Im thinking of switching to mini-ITX so make it a bit smaller.

    Can we expect larger, computer-related stainless steel products in the future? :naughty:
    -Bottle opener doubles as a ninja star, BTW.:D (Raised on '80s anime. can't help it.)

    i would love to see more 'top brass' like mnpctech, oldnewby, and even craigbru (i hope i spelled all of them correctly) enter in the contest
    just to see what they would dream up
    but i can understand why they dont
    they are supposed to be busy
    but craig is just drawing out the process :D

    All of them are busy. Langer showed up, and disappeared again.:hehe: Oldnewby is kinda new to SU, and I don't know if Bill has used it past opening my Ion instruction manual.
    Have a prize-reservoir...
    [IMG]
    -Not my best work finish-wise. I need to quit sanding in poorly lit rooms.
    [IMG]
    -Pics are crappy. I couldn't get a shot of the stuff I didn't like.

    More details and babble in my GwassGween log.
    Essentially I wouldn't trust it to a completely sealed loop. I don't think 1/8th inch plexi can take that much stress. -and if you are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant, don't use a cheapskate reservoir.
    I may make a plastic fill cap for it, but you guys are on your own for barbs too.
