Hello and welcome to the 4th edition of the MNPCtech case design contest here at bit-tech !

    The task

This is open to anyone, no matter where you live.
You have 1 month to design an SFF computer featuring a Micro-ATX motherboard. you can use any components that you want, it can be any shape you want it to be but it must be as small as possible. But remember that it's not about stacking some components together, what matters is the case in itself. The main objective here is to be creative and make some awesome design !

After one month, there will be a vote to decide the 5 best designs and the winners will receive a price !

I recommend that you use Google Sketch-Up, a free 3d modeling progam, to design your case. But if you want you can use any other program, you don't have the right to post renders though.
If you are working with Sketch-Up, here is a site with some computer component to help you a bit : link

    The rules

Please read the rules before posting !

*Do not steal other peoples work and claim that you've made it.
*Do not use something you made some times ago, but start a new design.
*Don't simply stack some components together but make a creative case !
*NO rendering allowed, and don't post renderings of your design elsewhere before the contest is over.
*you can use any program you want, 3DS Max, Maya,Cinema4D, Sketch-up,etc...
*You can work on more then one design, but you can only submit one entry for the voting
*Final entries are to be announced in this thread. They should contain one main picture and up to 4 images from other angles to show off various features. Supplying the 3D model for download is also allowed.
*The deadline will be May the 1st, 12:00 PM GMT
*I will open a separate thread for voting the 2nd of May at 12:00PM GMT with all the final entries that I've seen in this thread. if I've missed some please let me know
*The prices for the winners will be announced later on.
*In case of a tie, both contestants will receive the same prize.
*Prizes will be shipped globally, so the competition is open to all!
*post a lot of picture of your design and keep the thread alive !
    *Read the rules twice ;)

If something is unclear please ask me or send me a PM ! ;)

    Disclaimer

Terms and Conditions: Items may vary from those shown in the images. Items will only be sent if the winner is willing to accept them. Postal insurance is available for a small additional charge. This promotion is not associated with www.bit-tech.net, or its affiliates, and they cannot be held liable for any damages as a result of this competition, and neither can Dark~3nergy, or MNPCTech.

I (DarK~3nergy) will moderate this event and i will not participate. My task will be purely to keep the thread nice and organize things slightly. If you see a conflict of interest, feel free to PM me.

Now have fun and be creative :thumb:
i will be following this closely to make sure that everything is going well

    Lets get this party started!?!

Since I didn't read the new start date until a little while ago I was busy playing about with some ideas this morning.. Just a rough sketch (find it easyer to plan in Su than on paper now lol) but here's what's going on in my head for this time round.

I'm a lot better trying out designs in SU than on paper!

(I'm gunna have to start a new design, my aurora mk2 design i started a week or two ago so would be cheating)

Stunning piece Ed, very post-Geiger/wooden aerofoil looking.

One question, point; are we aloud to use m-itx? Thought it was m-atx? Just want to clarify, it would be terrible for you get finished only to find out your piece is invalid... Or contra wise.

oo some nice prizes up for grabs again... thanks Bill :)

The deadline seems ok to be honest Dark, might get people more motivated to knock something out and post progress pics. On that note is there any chance of a front page link :)

And on that note here is what mine is looking at at the moment... yes yes very little actual design atm but I wanted to make all the stuff first so I can build around it. :thumb:
