    Thx!

    By the way, would you maybe consider building something else that's less awesome? Now that Dark isn't competing i was hoping i could finally shoot for a victory, and along comes you. If awesome had a ribcage, i bet it would look like that! :thumb:

    xtra, that looks like an m-itx motherboard. if you want to participate, you have to use a m-ATX motherboard. :eek:

    No worries, it's mATX, 24x24 cm :)

    The whole assembly will be both huge and tiny. There's only 61mm of height to play with on the inside (height of a PSU minus it's fan :D), and depth is 30mm for now, but i might take that a little further back to 28. I'm not going to mention the width for fear of a permaban from this compo :naughty:

    Hey team, I'm new to bit-tech, been lurking a bit lately but then found this contest and finally had to sign up! I figure I can kill a few weeks on Sketchup and maybe come up with something. You're all working pretty hard I see which is great, I've got sort of a plan in mind but got sidetracked yesterday drawing up one of these which I want to use:

    Man, You can really feel the creative juices flowing in this thread.

    I bet it is stone, Gavin bought one of my prototypes few months ago. ..."so you must build it Gavin!"

    :lol: Rephrase that!
    @xtra - It's a little too black to see, but I can sort of make out a custom radiator.:D Cool! I'm betting you chopped double-pass radiators in half?
    @Cuzza - Welcome to Bit Tech!
    @Craigbru - You're lurkin'. Can we get a design from you?:D

    Not really. It's the model of the swiftech 240 rad on the scc, which i stretched to the exact size of the Black Ice GT Stealth, which is the thinnest dual rad i could find at 280 x 135 x 30mm. I'm guessing 4 of these puppies will provide enough surface area to dump the required heat, even with the hindered flowpath that the fans have to deal with.
    As a sidenote, I dont need to chop up anything apart from the PSU. The only other "exotic" part that i'll require is an angled PCIe extender. Everything else is off the shelves, and used "as is". In other words, this is actually a pretty realistic sketch, i reckon it should be buildable with relatively modest skills. :D

    Yeah, I do love all this SFF awesomeness, but time is not on my side. I really need to get OSIDIAS off my screen and into the real world. :D

    Nooo, I never have any spare time on my hads when these contests come around. :(

    Uni finishes for me in around five weeks, so hopefully another competition will be organised for over the summer months and I can join in the fun.

    Some excellent designs going on here. I do like Editor22's effort so far.

    Nice work everyone, will be keeping an eye on this thread to see how it all comes along.

    Started playing about with an idea that I'm aptly naming the "cool tube" lol 80mm push pull tube rad minus the fins.. no idea if this would even work but hey its in the realm of fantasy :)
