    i will solder the risercards to the bottom of the board. This will be a hellish job, but there's no theoretical reason that it shouldn't work :)

    i can see a mild knock making the HDD drop out from that setup :p possible a pin heated and pushed into each ball to mate with the hdd screw holes. my current case uses pop-out pins instead of screws to hold drives.
