Got mine a week or so ago, and was wondering what programs other owners of this display are using and for what. Morphine, I know that you have one, what are your thoughts?
i am guessing everyone will say LCDC even though you have to pay for it. I used smartie for a while and there is one called lcd center i thinkbut LCDC is by far the best apprently
I've given lcdc, a try, but it doen't fully support graphic lcds. Cheese told me that you have to modify the fonts in order to get the bar graphs to work, and I hadn't had a chance to try that out before my lcdc trial period ended (unfortunatly, Igot a bad lcd and had to send it in for a replacement--which the MO guys were just great about--and by the time I got it back, I only had a little less than a week left on my trial). I know that mat is working on a program--I believe a seperate program from lcdc--that is to be used for graphic lcds, and I was wondering if I should just wit for that ((Mat, any idea when you might be giving a release?) or try something else.
Thanks jamie, didnt' know if I whould have put it in hardware, software, or modding. But, I guess that decides it.
I got mine working great! My comp just cant hack it for more than 30 minutes though. nothing to wory bout cuz my comp was old (RIP). I'll email you my screen file so you can try it out. I also have a couple pics uploaded to the actual LCD one as a start up screen and another when I get email. I was working a lot on getting this to run flawlessly and tuning it but then my dog ****ed on my comp so i cant work on it anymore. I'll let you try it out and see how you like it. One thing, DONT use LCDsmarrtie on this LCD. I did and i had to re upload all my fonts, set the sizes back, reposition everything, etc. It was a mess.
When I first start LCD: When I get email: All you gotta do to make this work with my file is upload the first pic in slot 1 in the LCD and the second one in slot2 You'll also have to configure the email plugin the work with your acount.
Thanks morphine, I assume you use lcdc. Are you able to use bar graphs? I've had some trouble with this. I told all my friends about your girlfriends dog, and we all had a great laugh about it. I haven't had a chance to tell them about what your dog did to you, but my condolences go out to you. I just recently upgraded my own comp.
yeah I was using LCDC. I was trying to get it to work on the laptop the day before my dog relieved himslef on the PSU and mobo. (PSU shorted or sumthing and sent higher than normal voltage through EVERYTHING!. I had tried bargraphs but feel like dinking with custom fonts, etc. Besides, I like having the numbers.
yeah, but the dog cost $200 while the comp cost around $2000. And he's more of my sister's, and me and him dont get along to well anyways...
