Mobile keypad gets real

    "It could soon be a lot easier to tap out messages and use websites via your mobile phone.
    Next year could see the appearance of mobile phones that have a redesigned keypad that gives each letter and number its own key.

    If widely adopted, the keypad could end the need for predictive text systems in phones and mean you no longer have to tap several times to write letters in text messages.

    Digit Wireless, inventors of the novel keypad, have been showing off working prototypes of their gadget in an attempt to get operators and phone makers to adopt it."

    Bah - I never use text anyway - and if mobile phone keep getting smaller we will all hit the Homer "Your fingers are to big please try again" syndrome!

    Ah - yep, that's the one! Does that mean we get a special pointer to use the phone with!

    Yep - but if you get the special edition phone you get a trained stick insect to do it for you! :hehe:

    Unless you press the wrong key at the wrong time and "merge" your insect with your phone!!!

    And damn that phone looks ugly, anyway, once your used to T9 and your non-T9 words are programmed its easy enough to pile out a 10 character txt in no time at all...
