My Aunt has asked if I would look for a new mobile phone for her. The 2 previous phones I purchased (approximately 4 years ago) were between £10-£30 but they really were dreadful both in feel and functionality.

Mobile phones are not really my 'thing' and I'm currently having to research into them. Ideally, I'm hoping someone here might make suggestions.

    The requirements are:
    • To make and receive calls (she doesn’t use text messaging)
    • A clear display
    • Clear buttons (largish I guess)
    • A suitable battery life
    • Simple\easy functionality (for example, a scroll down button brings up the contact list)
    Thank you.

My Gran had one of those Binatones. It was rubbish, expensive and featureless. But it made calls and had a hearing aid loop built in.

Jesus who would've thought the shi**iest looking phones could also be the most expensive.

For you and I yes but the older you get the less they worry about looks, as long as they work
