Mobo issue

    On an ASUS A7V8X;

    just put together to test some stuff..

    when turning on it spins up the CPU far for about 5 seconds then powers off again.

    Tried with:
    ram/no ram
    hard disk/no hard disk
    keyboard/no keyboard

    all give same results.

    No POST error sound is given off.

    Dead Mobo?

    Could be a dead mobo, could be bad CPU contact and overheating quickly.

    It's a dead mobo for sure, unless you are using a weak PSU that can't handle the load.

    PSU is a 550w antec i use for testing so doubt it is that, Ah well, got it for nout so no real loss.
