I stand by what I wrote, and my decision process. I picked out my favorite 3, and then worked it down to 2 by judging the small details each mod had to offer. Once that was done, I was stuck, and needed something more to sway me... In a field of outstanding mods, the modder is what made the tie-breaker for me.

All are fantastic entries, period. However, IMHO the mod of year has to be chosen on several aspects:

    Quality/attention to detail
    Looks
    Planning/Adaptation of design
    Uniqueness
    Function

I voted for what I voted or based on these criteria. The mod I chose scored a 10 in each category, barely edging out a few that got a 9 in one category or another.

Pretty sure I picked the overall winner too, but we shall see ;)

damn hard for me to pick just one, but, im a sucker for beautifully crafted wood. So, Cygnus gets my vote.

Thank you Bit-Tech for the nomination! There were so many incredible builds this year, I can see why there are over 20 choices for Mod of the Year 09! I am honored to again be a part of it. Thank you all for your support and good luck to the rest of the nominees!

Wow, that was a tough choice. So many great mods, and only one vote allowed! I ultimately went with Ang3l for its extra ounce of eye-catching creativity.

Lots of good entries this year but my favorite was the Wall Mount Case.

Wish I could vote for a few, I'm so torn between Neptune's Trident and Cygnus X1 I'm blown away by the workmanship, and Neptune's Trident for workmanship + innovation, both should be a tie as number 1 imo, but since Neptune's Trident covered 2 things with excellence I'll vote for it, I look at both of these and just see 100% sheer quality .

I absolutely like all of them, there should be a top 5 at least for a mod of the year, too many good mods, just can't believe they are not having runners up, shame.

The only 1 I'm confused for being in mod of the year is overclocked orange, it even got media coverage by the bbc, it is just a paint job or powder coat with stickers and watercooling, it's nicely done but what actual modding went into it really, there were better mods that could have filled it's space, hint hint Project - Air Cube v2 feels like it barely got noticed lol :D.

Why does someone always seem to say something like that after I vote & comment lol, is it a dig at me?

I'll continue to post my worklogs here, but I'm more into TBCS so I'm more active over there as it's purely a modding site with what seems all users are modders, rather than about all tech, bit-tech is a great site but for modding I know which I prefer althou there are some highly tallented modders from here who are not on TBCS which I really look up to. I'm also a keen gamer so can't really find the time to post on forums regular.

Me personally I'm voting on form, function and ingenuity not just one or the other, but yeah I can imagine people being on facebook or the like and getting heaps of digital friends who couldn't care less about modding to vote, I'm a pretty new modder, only been making cases for a couple of years, started from knowing nothing about fabrication and made 3 so far and happy with my advancements with each new one I make, I hope to get better with each new one so I'm an active keen modder and appreciate the quality of all these mods.

If my vote was for looks alone, I would vote for Cygnus X1 being the definition of perfect that it is :), Ingraham which is such a lovely well made little case or Pyramid & Steampunk Frankenstein I would choose them in that order, steampunk loses charm because of it's gigantic size but the name makes up for that and it does look amazing with some beautiful details, The pyramid case looks ultra awesome on the outside, but looks like hell on the inside but is understandable with it being an awkward shape for a pc.
But just because I don't call a case number 1 does not mean I don't like any of them, I think they are all so very very awesome, even ones I don't mention.

My votes for function would be 6th Gen because it is so action packed with tech and very very well built, Wall Mount case as it is a very nice idea brought to reality and nicely done.

As I said it was an extremely tough call for me between the classy & perfect Cygnus X1 and the perfection & ingenuity of Neptune's Tident, and I usually prefer scratch builds and this shows good old modding can still hold it's own which can only be a good thing for newb and advanced modders to look up and aspire to.

Just seen shomann's comment on how he broke down who to vote for, Good method I say, but I only use form, function, ingenuity and looks come last for my mod number 1 decision recipe :).
