Hello everyone, I'm in the process of planning a mod and am after a little advice.
The intention is to have a few ~1mm thick aluminium plates cut, for stealthing the optical drive, as somewhere to mount power/reset switches etc.
There wouldn't be any complicated designs, just rectangles with radiused corners, but I'd want them to look reasonably high quality.
I think its a bit beyond my capabilities to make them myself, and so am after advice as to how/where I could get them made for me.
Thanks in advance for any info :thumb:

Draw you design in google sketchup then print a JPg image of it in the right size glue it to the metal cut it out rough around the edge then file it smooth. Easy.

Sounds reasonable enough, but what would you cut it with, hacksaw, dremel, or something more powerful?

Cut it out with a hacksaw and file the sharp pieces on the edges.
The u could polish the aluminium and get a shiny look :naughty:

Ya file it smooth use something powerful to rough cut the edges easier to file after you cut than to cut perfectly.
