You could always get a now screen for it and so you don't forget the cracking sound you can step on it again
I've had two friends mess up thier lap tops. One was carying his around by the ejected DVD tray, and surprise surprise it poped out. The other one got so pissed off at a program he was writeing that he pulled out his pellet gun and launched six of them into the screen. Surprisingly enough DELL replaced them both .
damn thats unluky i did that to my PDA havn't got a new one yet htough as my college bought it and they is slow I fell over and broke my minidisc brand new sony and the insurence company kindly bought me a new one . was quite funny as i sent it off too sony and they sent a report back saying the laser had been crushed into the disc and theres a big dent in both sides and the battery is jammed in the casing o and the the lid will not open was funny at the time Hope you sort out your lappy
My insurance paid out £1695 which was pretty good. Foolish me got a quote from PC World though and was told afterwards that the C1 series have been discontinued. After attempting to order a close replacement i.e the JVC mininote which they also couldn't get hold of, i settled for an R600HMPD which does me nicely whilst not being as small it's probably more sensible
