Well, this mod wasn't really on purpose...

I was opening the plastic package around an APC 12V DC to 220V AC converter with a knife. I notised something was wrong when the knife was stopped by the bone inside my left long finger.

Here is the result, a true ghetto bandage but it stopped the bleeding:

It was the best solution at the time to get it to stop the bleeding, improvised pressure bandage. :D

nice .... why don't you tie a waterblock onto it to keep it cool :)

You got it checked by a doctor? Might need glueing back together :sigh:

After using my ghetto solution for 16 hours it seems to stay together pretty well. :)

you want ghetto plasters? you can't beat good old insulation tape for a nice clean and handy alternative. Different colours as well. of course parcel tape and sellotape are pretty good as well, and to think I get paid £110 a year to be a company first -aider, sometimes I frighten myself.

    Ouch, sorry bout that dude.

If it makes you feel any better, I would've fainted from the pure idea of the knife touching my bone, then bled to death on the floor. :D ;)

I once managed to very nearly sever the tendon running along the top of my right index finger with a razor blade, there was blood everywhere and now I have a funky L-shaped scar in the knuckle, it was ages before i could bend it properly again. Don't ask how I did it, I was young and silly:blah:
